“Eildon houseboat”, “Lake Eildon boat hire”, “Goulburn River boat” and “Eildon fishing charter” are different things. Mixing them up is the main way people book the wrong one:

Lake Nagambie is a different product
Mid-valley water sports on Lake Nagambie (Goulburn Weir) are a different day out from an Eildon houseboat week. Good for day launches and combining with Tahbilk / Mitchelton — see Mid Goulburn Valley. Do not book the wrong lake because both mention the Goulburn.
Practical tips
- Layer up — open water is cooler than the carpark.
- Sun protection matters even on cloudy high-country days (reflection doubles the burn).
